Which modules and tools should be our focus?

There are one comment on this post so far.

Our initial focus is to develop modules or learning tools for adults with developmental disabilities. Thus clients, for example, will be able to share photos and music with friends, place journals in a public gallery, create a “digital profile”, take a course in food safety, learn how to prepare a CV, etc.

What “tools” and modules would you see as being the most important and which should be given the highest priority?

I am currently a Vocational Program Coordinator (currently on maternity leave) with a Community Living organization. This looks like a very exciting undertaking. I will watch carefully as it develops.

Modules I would like to see developed - food safety, WHMIS, workplace safety, general workplace skills (timesheets, punctuality, etc.), academic skills development (literacy, mathematics, functional literacy (time telling, money skills, etc.), and an opportunity to share personally recorded music.

As I am on maternity leave I do not a frequent opportunity to discuss this with your target students, otherwise, I would gather further input. If I do have the opportunity to discuss this with your target student body I will gather their input.
