If you’re looking for information on what the Online Learning and Virtual Community project is all about, you can find that information on the about page.
How can I contribute?
To contribute, you may post comments in response to this weblog’s entries, respond to polls, or you may email your feedback to us. These comments will help us gain valuable insight into people’s ideas, opinions, and concerns regarding the Online Learning and Virtual Community project.
How do I use this site?
On the homepage of this site, you’ll see a list of entries organized chronologically with the newest additions at the top of the page and the older entries at the bottom. Below each entry is a button labelled “Comment on this” — you can click on this button if you want to leave a comment in response to that particular entry, or if you’d like to read what other people have said in their comments.
Posting a comment is quick and simple — Just fill in your name and your email address (and if you have your own website, you can also include its address), then type your comment in the larger box. When you’re done, just click the “submit comment” button and your comment will be posted for anyone visiting the site to read and respond to.
How can I find older entries?
While older entries may no longer show up on the site’s homepage, you can access them by clicking on the “Archives” tab in the menubar at the top of the page. From here, you can view the old entries either by the month in which they were posted to the site, or by their corresponding subjects.
If you’d like to find a specific entry but you don’t remember when it was posted or what its subject was, you can use the search bar in the blue box at the side of the site to find exactly what you’re looking for. Just type one or two keywords into the search bar, click the “Go” button, and you’ll see a list of entries that include those words. If your search doesn’t give any results, try again with a different keyword.
What are “subscriptions” to this site, and how do I use them?
By subscribing to this site’s content, you can keep track of any new information or comments without having to continually check back here. Subscribing is quick, easy, and free — all you’ll need is a feed reader like Bloglines or Google Reader to keep track of your subscriptions. With a feed reader, you can keep track of updates to not only this site, but all your favourite sites.
